Privacy Policy
Short version: we collect almost nothing, and your speeches stay yours.
Your Google account
Signing in uses Google’s sign-in button. We store the basics your account shares: your name, email address, and profile picture — used only to recognise you, attach your membership to your account, and show you who’s signed in. Your speeches live in your browser, not on our servers.
What you type into the generator
The details you enter (names, relationship, memory, tone, length) are sent to our server and to an AI provider (an OpenAI-compatible API) for the sole purpose of generating your speech. We do not sell this data, use it for advertising, or build profiles. Generated speeches are not stored on our servers.
Payments
Membership purchases are processed by our merchant of record, Waffo Pancake, which collects and processes your payment details, email address, billing country, and applicable taxes. We never see or store your card details — on our side we keep only a one-way hashed record of your email address to verify your membership. Refunds are issued through Waffo to the original payment method.
What stays in your browser
Your settings (such as generation mode) are stored in your browser’s localStorage. Clearing your browser data removes them. Your speech lives in the page only — copy it out if you want to keep it.
Usage data
We use privacy-friendly, aggregate analytics (page views and referrers) to understand traffic. We do not use tracking cookies for advertising, and we do not run third-party ad networks.
Your data rights
You can ask us to show, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you — or delete your account entirely — by emailing hello@toastscribe.com from the address you signed in with. We respond within 30 days. Deleting your account removes your profile, login record and membership status; it does not affect speeches already saved on your device. Payment records are kept by our payment provider where required by law.
Children
ToastScribe is intended for adults planning weddings. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
